What is Capoeira -

Capoeira is a complex African-Brazilian martial art that originated in early slave culture in Brazil.

It is more than just an extraordinary form of self-defense. It is a way of instilling self-confidence in the individual by providing a positive learning environment for skills that are unique.

This is a sport that spans the distance between music, dance and the martial arts. It does not rely solely on strength, but it combines flexibility, grace, speed, strength, acrobatics, music and song. The variety of components that make up this sport appeal to so many different interests.

Mestre Bimba, a founder of regional Capoeira, once said, Capoeira 'e p'ra homem, menino e mulher."

"Capoeira is for men, children and women."

Capoeira is truly for everyone.

Answer: Anyone can still Learn Capoeira. They do not need to know or even do gymnastics. Capoeira is studied by the things we can do, not by the things we can't. You can do as much or as little as you like.
